Type Locality and Naming

The type section is located at Daba in Zhonghe District, Tengchong County, Yunnan; first appeared in a 1985 manuscript by Yunnan Regiona Geological Survey Team; and then 1996 usage in Yunnan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources (Xiang Yuanzhi, editor), Multiple Classification and Correlation of the Stratigraphy of China..


Lithology and Thickness

Gray, yellowish gray sericitic slate and siltstone with interbeds of sandstone and pebble-bearing sandstone.


Lithology Pattern: 
Sandy claystone


Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Conformable onto Dadongchang Fm.

Upper contact

Regional extent

Zhonghe District of Tengchong County; assumed same regional extent as the underlying Dadongchang Fm.
